SELF CARE PRACTICES MATTER

There is a saying that self love is not selfish, it is important. Self care is very essential in order to have a healthy body, mind and soul. It is giving yourself the support that you really need in life. Allow yourself to do the activities that is beneficial to the body and that will result to a strong physical and mental health.

Taking care of yourself also keeps you recharge and energized. It keeps you stay strong,burns off nervous energy and give you some time to forget about the things that stress you out.

DO’S

Do eat healthy foods. Junk food is always consumed whenever one is stressed and unhappy. The feelings of frustration and depression is always transferred to the foods that we eat. And eating junk foods can only make such feelings worse. Learn to cook delicious and healthy meals. Buy only fresh and organic foods. Use discount coupon when purchasing in supermarkets. Consuming a well balanced meal everyday will give your body the nutrients that you need. Eat mindfully and healthfully.

Do some physical activity. Get moving and do some exercise. Exercise increases strength and flexibility. Look for a type of exercise that really works for you like running ,biking or yoga. Do what is fun for you and in a way makes you feel calm.

Do take a bath regularly. Submerging our body to clean and warm water is something we do for hygiene, health and leisure. Many scientific studies prove that taking a bath regularly moisturize the body and improves a person’s cardio- vascular health. It calms the mind and reduce the levels of stress and anxiety. Bathe to relax and detox.

Do express your creativity.Take some time to learn a new hobby like knitting, gardening or couponing. Doing something that you love will make you feel a rush of excitement and joy.

Do keep a journal. Learn to write your feelings and thoughts in a journal. a journal can be your best friend. Write your thoughts and ideas to give you the feeling of peace. A journal can be a wonderful source of reflection about your life.

Do read a good book. Pick up a book and read to relax. Reading a magazine can also do you good.

Do engage in a deep conversation with a friend or a loved one. Having a nice conversation about a meaningful topic can light up your life.

 

DONT’S

Do not deprive yourself with sleep. Not getting enough sleep results to fatigue and lower immune system. It will make you feel irritable and less alert in your daily activities.

Do not be harsh on yourself. Learn to enjoy the little things that life has to offer. Always have a positive outlook in life and stay happy.
